Most marriage's start with the potential of surviving the test of time. Why would we marry if we didn't think it would survive? It's the like scale that gets in the way.
Happy people have happy marriages. It's just a fact.
So, if you’re not happy, it might mean that your marriage could be in danger.
Here is quick test to see how you’re doing in your "like" able qualities.
Here is new list to consider
Ok, so we seem to be making a point that sometimes like is good and sometimes like can be a bit overwhelming to others. When we are extremely selfish our likes get in the way of the relationship.
New list. I don't mean to be so listy but it's just the mood I am in.
These lists are challenging your beliefs about who you are and how you are perceived in a relationship.
Do you think it is necessary to like everything about someone you are married too?
Do you think it is possible to have more dislikes than likes about someone and want to stay in the marriage?
Now, before we take this too far, let’s think about a different kind of likes.
I don't like liver. Does that make a difference in the marriage relationship? It could if my spouse insets that I eat liver because she likes it. Likes about things usually don't make marriages difficult. It is likes and dislikes about behaviors, personal habits, and attitudes that cause the issues.
Since happy people have better marriages, maybe we should look more closley at the dislikes we have.
Dislikes create negative emotions, which carry over to the marriage.
Most dislikes are just our way of being critical. Focus on your likes and you will change your heart.
Change your heart and you will be a much happier person to be around.
Who knows, you might learn to like your mom again too?
I'm Just saying.
